BRIEF
Client needed additional staff support and resources to plan and manage the various components of their annual Tradeshow/Conference. This was their signature revenue-generating event comprised of over 2,500 attendees, 200 exhibitors and various corporate sponsors with multiple educational break-out sessions, an exhibitor tradeshow, networking activities, supplier matchmakers, entertainment and various A/V and F&B requirements.
SITUATION
The client reached out to The Harmon Group to plan, provide event planning, registration support and on-site management for the annual Conference. Client needed to re-direct their focus towards marketing, exhibitor sales and securing sponsorship support.
We gained an overview of the conference objective by collaborating with their internal planning team, leadership and corporate partners on lessons learned from the previous 2 years and we began the process of conceptualizing new ideas for the current year.
SOLUTION
Our team of cross-trained event professionals have the knowledge and expertise to successfully manage key event disciplines. We focused on these core areas: registration design and management (pre-event and on-site), cost-effective F&B selections, educational session support (content creation, sourced speakers and managed speaker logistics), supplier matchmaker setup and management and entertainment management and logistics. We also provided recommendations on a corporate social responsibility project to get attendees involved in the community.
RESULTS
Our ability to strategically plan and manage core areas of the event resulted in our team delivering a highly successful conference that exceeded client’s expectations by increasing revenue by 25% from previous year, increased exhibitor sales and attendees (over 3,000), improved F&B, and dedicated A/V support that enhanced the attendees learning experience. We delivered refreshing educational tracks and implemented a new community service project.
